Bells Power Solutions carried out a 36 hour 11kv transformer heat test for clients at our dedicated test cell located within our Bilton Road site this month. We connected a 2 meg generator set to a 415 to 11kv transformer, which was then connected to an 11kv to 415 transformer, this was set up within its enclosure inside our test cell. The test consisted of running a 1000kw load for 36 hours to record temperatures at set points within the enclosure of the transformer.

CCTV images were captured within the test cell throughout the heat test, and our client was also able to watch the test take place in comfort from the control room facilities.
